The Best Fitness Gifts for Him

Our fave holiday finds for the men in your life.

‘Tis the season for gift giving, so there’s no better time to gift some workout clothes to the guy who needs an upgraded performance tee, or in some cases, a head-to-toe reboot. Workout gifts are perfect for the men in your life who are ripping daily PRs or just resolved to start the upcoming year off right (and need the gear to match the goals). He might be your brother, boyfriend, dad or friend, and you can score serious points this holiday by taking his kit to the next level. But, where to start? Fear not: Good gifts do exist, and you can build the perfect stocking stuffers from our fitness gift ideas.
We’ve rounded up a list of our favorite workout gifts for him, handpicked for the guy who never misses a workout or just wants to look good while flexing in the mirror (we see you, dude). And, if these picks aren’t enough to whet your gift-giving appetite, you can give yourself the gift of more options here.

Finding the best fitness gifts for him may be challenging, but the Nano X just made your job a whole lot easier. The Nano X is the latest version in the Nano franchise that was released earlier this year and it did not disappoint. In celebration of the shoe’s 10th anniversary, Reebok reimagined the sneaker that’s been a fan favorite of the training community for years. There’s an upgraded Flexweave upper for stretch and durability. Plus, when he’s doing heavy sets in the gym he can rely on the minimal drop outsole for secure footing. The new collar is made with high density foam which will also allow for plenty of comfort as he moves. If he’s an active runner or hitting up virtual classes from his living room, the compression molded midsole will give him that extra cushion. The Nano X is the cross-training shoe that will get him through any workout.

A simple grey t-shirt is an easy gym gift grab. But this t-shirt comes with an additional perk you won’t want to pass up: The shirt is made of moisture-wicking fabric to keep him cool as his temperature rises. The more active he is, the more this t-shirt will work harder for him to keep dry as he works up a sweat. This t-shirt is also designed for comfort, so it won’t distract him from reaching that PR or finishing that extra mile. He can also throw it on during those rest days when he’s up early meditating or out running errands. This is a great gift for the active guy on the go.

Even though the weather may be getting colder, he’s still heating up when he works out. That’s why the epic lightweight short is one of the best workout gifts for him. These shorts are designed for HIIT training and have all you could want in a pair of shorts. He can wear these stacking up the reps or the rounds. The sleek fabric absorbs moisture as he sweats, and the adjustable waist keeps the fit secure. Finally, these shorts have the ultimate “it” factor: a side zip pocket. A pocket is perfect for keys, a phone or any small essentials he brings to the gym. These shorts even light enough for him to throw a pair of sweats on over them after he wraps up. They’re black so he can wear them with anything and can easily toss them in a gym bag. Make sure to put these shorts at the top of your fitness gift list for him.

Running has taken over this year as many people have picked it up while working from home. Whether he’s running for fun or running for time, these sneakers will make a great gift for him. These running shoes are supported with Floatride Energy Foam that provides responsive, cushioned comfort without sacrificing flexibility and ground feel. They also have a lightweight upper, so his feet won’t feel cramped as he strides. It’s a given that his feet are eventually going to sweat, so it’s a good thing that this sneaker has a forefoot mesh that keeps the air flowing to give him some serious breathability. There’s also a scoop collar to keep him locked into the shoe so he can stay focused on the road ahead. From sprints to miles, cardio day just got a whole lot better and he’ll have you to thank.

Getting up in the morning when the weather gets chillier is tough. Make getting out of bed easier for him with this Thermowarm sweatshirt. On those brisk early mornings, he’ll need a comfy sweatshirt that will keep him warm as he hits the gym or the track. It’s made of layered fabric that insulates to give him lightweight warmth. Plus, it’s water resistant so it can shrug off light rain that might come down in between travel. This is the staple go-to gift he’ll be thanking you for after he’s worn it over and over again. It’s a simple add-on he can wear pre or post workout.

If he’s active and into fitness, he needs these tights. These compression tights are designed for training workouts. The fit works with the way his body flexes, helping to give him an unrestricted range of motion. Since they’re so close to the skin, they’re made of quick-dry fabric to keep the sweat at bay. There’s also a mesh panel at the back of knee to help with breathability, so these tights can really do their job. They’re also a nice added layer under shorts or sweatpants now that the weather has turned. Help him get the most out of his workout and perform at his best by picking out these tights as part of his gift this year.

A solid winter beanie is one of the best fitness gifts to give him once the weather gets colder. Just because the temperature drops doesn’t mean he’ll stop being active. With this beanie he’ll really have no excuses for not getting out there. This knit beanie will keep him warm heading to the gym and even during the workout until he burns up. The fold-up cuff has a Reebok Vector logo front and center to add some flare.

On top of the fitness gift list should always be a graphic t-shirt. It’s clean, it’s simple and it’s made of 100% cotton so it’s really soft. It’s a slim cut so it has a bit of a tighter feel, but it will highlight those muscles he’s been in the gym working on. He can wear this graphic tee on those days when he’s lounging before he hits the gym or for when he’s at the gym. This is a t-shirt he can pull from the drawer, toss on and be good to go. A rolled-up t-shirt makes for the best stocking stuffer, so you may want to stock up on a few.
